Canon’s LEGRIA mini is a pocket-sized video camera made especially for video bloggers. Boasting some unconventional features, this innovative ‘social’ camcorder demanded an equally creative marketing approach.
Stereoscape delivered an exciting solution for the launch campaign, incorporating a multimedia product demo in a Dreamoc HD2 holographic display. Canon’s existing content was used as a starting point for a 3D animation floating around a real LEGRIA mini inside the digital display. To boost the multimedia experience, we added text elements and projected an existing marketing video on the product.
Stereoscape worked in cooperation with ad agency Avalon in the project.
The visually powerful installation in Canon’s shop-in-shop in the high-end Stockmann department store was a real eye-catcher. The highly innovative features of LEGRIA mini were perfectly highlighted via the unique multimedia concept combining both virtual and physical elements.
“The 3D display was amazing and received a lot of attention. The unit was working flawlessly throughout the campaign with very good operational reliability.”
